Directions
Steps
1 Done | Gather all your ingredients |
2 Done 15 | BaconPut a pan non-stick pan on the stove and set the temp to low medium (I use 3.5 on my glass top stove). By cooking low and slow you should avoid most of the bacon spatter. If you're using bacon strips cut them into bite size pieces and drop them in the pan. You don't have to stir constantly but you should go check and stir every 3-4 minutes to make sure there is no burning. When the bacon starts to cook, it cooks fast! When the bacon is browned and crisp, drain and set to the side. |
3 Done 5 minutes | Prep the Salad DressingMix the mayo, sugar and white vinegar in a small dish. Set to the side so all the ingredients can blend, |
4 Done 10 - 15 minutes | Broccoli and Everything ElseDice the broccoli up into small pieces. Be sure you use the trunk of the broccoli head as well. Thats going to be the easiest bit to chop. Place all of it into a bowl. Next lets chop up the purple onion into small pieces. Add this to the broccoli along with the cranrasins, bacon bits and sun flower seeds. (Stop picking at the bacon!) |
5 Done | Add the DressingPour the dressing on top and stir everything up. Do not worry if everything isn't dripping in dressing. As it rests you'll see that the salad will relax and everything will be generously coated with dressing sitting on the bottom of the bowl. Let this sit for about an hour in the fridge then serve. |
